Pick your own Apples, Pears, Cherries, and Flowers. This is a seasonal activity and Mother Nature dependent. Reservations are required for apple and pear picking only.
Pick your own flowers require no reservation and are open during farm stand hours mid August through first frost, when they are available. We have beautiful Dahlias, Zinnias, SunFlowers, and many other long lasting cut flower options.
THE SEASONS…Growing fruit along the Front Range can be challenging due to our weather. We often times have late snows and freezes in April or May when the blossoms are one. Fruit trees only have one blossom set annually. We have also learned that we need the fruit to mature early October as we often times get our first freeze and snowstorm late September/early October. Due to our climate apple picking is a much earlier activity here than it is in other parts of the country. We start picking apples early August and we finish by late September.
Cherries ripen early July. We do not have a large cherry section in our orchard. First rights to the cherries belong to the orchard and to our CSA members. IF THERE ARE ANY AVAILABLE AFTER THAT, we will post on our Facebook page special hours for cherry picking a week or so before they are ready. No reservation required.
Apples are ripe late July through mid-October. Pears are ripe September and October.
